When your Freedom is at stake, choosing the right criminal defense attorney is Vital.

Man finds girlfriend after she's killed in collision

If you are driving after a few drinks, you might speed or perform other actions that aren't wise, but that doesn't mean you were over the alcohol intoxication limits. If you cause a fatal accident, you're going to be mourning the loss of another person's life and feeling the guilt of that for the foreseeable future. The last thing you should have to face is the loss of your freedom due to accusations of drunk driving or recklessness that didn't take place. Your attorney can help you defend yourself, so you can have a fair trial and fair outcome.

One man has been charged for the death of a 26-year-old woman that he struck while traveling over 100 mph. At the time, he was allegedly under the influence of alcohol.

The 31-year-old man has been arraigned and charged with manslaughter using a motor vehicle. He also faces charges for operating a vehicle while under the influence and causing death, though police have not released his blood alcohol concentration. He has a probable cause hearing scheduled at the moment.

It was around 2:30 a.m. when the man collided with the woman in her vehicle. The man had been driving on Detroit's east side when he crashed. She had been heading back to her home after a birthday party. The man's vehicle needed to be towed, but the driver who arrived at the scene was the woman's boyfriend of three years.

Family members have said that the woman moved to Detroit recently from Nashville. She moved back to be closer to family, and in just a few weeks, her 9-year-old son was meant to move to Detroit also.

The driver of the pickup truck was arrested after the crash and now faces charges. The police have not reported the man's blood alcohol concentration or if he has been officially charged with a DUI.
